The estate is situated approx 1000m up the slopes of Mount Batukaru. It is the highest dormant volcanic peak in the area and with its peak at 2275m it is the second highest mountain in Bali. Batukaru is worshipped by the Balinese and is home to one of the nine directional temples in Bali. “Batukaru” means “coconut shell” in Balinese. The estate oversees the panaromic view of the South-eastern coastline.

A labour of love built by local craftsman, using only natural materials such as bamboo and wood, our buildings are constructed in a manner that fully respect the natural terrains of the mountains and vegetation. All interior furnishings are lovingly adorned to ensure that guests enjoy the best comfort while being totally immersed in the wild nature. We have rooms to suit all budgets - from quadruples to your own private room. Please know that this is a rustic retreat and we are surrounded by nature!
The Food
Besides the coffee plants, this 10-hectare estate is also bursting with wild grown tropical fruits and vegetables, with different varieties to be harvested all year round. We offer a vegetarian menu and can cater to most dietary requirements. The menu will be super nutritious and you will not go hungry!
Yoga & More
We will be bringing you daily yoga & meditation classes, movement masterclasses, inversion practices, strength training, creativity workshops, self-growth workshops, music & more! We will have guest teachers supporting this retreat to give you a whole range of new experiences. The Yoga Shala and meditation deck really are the most spectacular spots for us to create a really intimate and beautiful experience together.
